I received my training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating more than 100 different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies such as Ayurveda and Macrobiotics, with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, Eat Right for Your Blood Type, and raw foods.  The benefit of studying a broad spectrum of dietary theories is the realization of bio-individuality, and how there is not just one "diet" that works perfectly for everyone.

As a Health Counselor, one of my focuses will be on educating prenatal and postnatal women in regard to the benefits of attaining optimal health prior to, during, and following pregnancy.

I feel strongly-due to my own experiences and the testimonies of others-that we can heal many of our ailments through the consumption of whole, natural, organic foods, reduction of stress in our lives, healthy levels of physical activity, and spiritual growth.

I am passionate about making strides to empower our next generation.  Nurturing early childhood development is crucial for our youth, since a lifetime of wellness demands a sturdy foundation.
An ever-present goal of mine, is to instill awareness of the need to heal our planet through organic, sustainable gardening practices, and to teach the importance of engaging in healthy eating and exercise habits.  DeIicious, natural foods should be enjoyed by our little ones, not imposed on them with coaxing and bribery!  Therefore, I strongly encourage children's involvement in meal preparation. Having our children in the kitchen, assisting us safely, will lead to enjoyment in consuming the products of their efforts.

In my broader vision, plans that encompass the production of a children's instructional videos series, and the formation of community sustainable gardens, are being cooperatively organized.
